I made the case for this clock out of solid fiddle-back Maple, Cherry, and Black Walnut. The hands are Cherry. The pendulum was made of Cherry, Black Walnut, and Abalone shell. The only parts I did not make are the all wood vinage whistles(with recovered bellows), the gong(2 3\4″70mm new), the vintage dial, the movment(cuckoo clock mfg. co.), the chains and weights. I cleaned, oiled and adjusted the movement. The Maple face piece is only 4 1/4 inches wide by 4 3/4 inches on the ends and 6 inches tall in the center. Over all it is 9 1/4 inches tall from the top of the Walnut crest to the very bottom of the Walnut scrollwork. It now keeps perfect time and is a unique piece designed by myself.

Here’s a very nice looking Gilbert Marbleized Mantel Clock born in 1803 according to the date stamped into the brass works. It runs very well and sounds great. A very nice clock and in amazing shape for being 105 years old. What an investment.
