This charming scene of a rooster and his hen is entirely hand carved from solid Linden wood. When the clock strikes the hour or half-hour the door opens, a cuckoo appears and calls along with the clock’s gong strike.
This clock is hand made in the Black Forest in Germany. The mechanical brass movement is driven by two weights and time escapes with the tick of a traditional pendulum. The cuckoo call sound is made by two wooden whistles with bellows inside the clock case.
Even the packaging has old-world charm, as only paper is used. The factory packing is all made with renewable materials. This clock makes a great gift for the young and old alike. Perfect for a pastoral decor!

This is a video of my 1978 General Electric Clock Radio. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore! Enjoy!
This is a vintage Sony Dream Machine clock radio Model#ICF-C211. This video is a demonstration on how it works. I have this clock radio for sale in my Ebay store, Upstate Oddities. Please visit my EBAY store, Upstate Oddities, http://stores.ebay.com/Upstate-Oddities for many more odd and hard to find items.
Today I recieved a BRAND NEW FACTORY SEALED IN BOX 1980s General Electric 7-4630A Clock Radio that I won in an eBay auction. I personally HATE new clock radios…they are cheap, they sound awful, and they don’t hold up. This one must have sat somewhere for 25 years unnoticed, because this unit is brand new, never opened, never plugged in. This should last for a very long time, I should be able to get 30+ years out of it like most have with these vintage GE clock radio units, they are built like tanks!
A vintage GE Model 7-4800A clock radio in action. Check out the cool dimmer function. For sale on ebay under the same user ID as here (herbalinguist).
