how it displays the time & changes colour to different temperatures?

It picks up a radio signal (aka radiowave) that automatically sets the time and date. The projection device just projects the time (maybe date too) onto a wall or ceiling (depending on the angle you adjust it to).

Yes, there is a SLEEP timer.
Pressing SLEEP on the remote sets it for 30 minutes up to 2 hours.

Projection Clocks?

Hi there, I was wondering if you could help me…I have been looking for a Projection Clock for a Christmas present and although I have found many on-line there is a problem I keep coming across. I am looking for one that projects the time on the celling or wall at all times, the ones I’ve found only stay lit up for a few mins or you have to push a button to get it to come back on. Anyone know of one that won’t shut off in the middle of the night? Thanks in advance! )

Not too sure , the only ones I have seen , are the ones where u push a button , and the time will shine up , I dont know if there are any , that the time is constnatly shinning , as it would be very distracting , and also take up alot of electricity ,

Althougth I can see that it would be very handy sometimes.

We are working on a senior engineering design project where we will be creating a prototype for a new clock; most likely, it will actually be produced. Clock radios are becoming obsolete, so we need to know what consumers are actually looking for…some technologically complex features that can be achieved with a reasonable budget. Some ideas we are considering include voice commands, weather/traffic alerts, and a projection of the outside sky on the ceiling.

Thanks for any creative ideas you can offer!

a wireless button that you actually have to get up to turn off. For example, I get up and get my shower. That is what really wakes me up. If I could mount the button in my Bathroom, that would mean I had to get up and go into the bathroom to turn it off, and I would just get into the shower.

Also, possibly like a flat cloth or something that goes under the mattress and senses weight change. If you get up, it automatically turns off. If you lay back down within 5 minutes or so it starts ringing again
