Selling Cuckoo Clocks and Making A Fortune

Friday, July 22nd, 2011

Business phone systems have made it possible for our company to start selling cuckoo clocks over the telephone. Before when we were selling cuckoo clocks just in the store, our sales were declining, especially during the problem in troubled economy. We had to start relying on the Internet in having telephone calls coming in and out of our business to continue to stay open and make money.

today, we have successfully doubled our profits simply by buying any telephone system for your business, hiring the few new sales people that knew what they were doing and started cold calling each and every day. You may wonder who he cold called and that is a secret that I can view because we paid a lot of money to figure out exactly where our customers would be and how to get in touch with them.

But I can share with you his bed telephone systems for your business are essential, especially if you are in the business world of selling merchandise for different customers. Having a brick-and-mortar stores an old-fashioned idea, but still useful in many ways and can make money, but it should not be your only source of money that you rely on. My telephone system for your business today and start selling some materials over the phone or the Internet.

What can I use to clean and lubricate a cuckoo clock?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

My cuckoo clock stopped ticking. I removed the back cover and noticed that the mechanism is dry and dusty.I was thinking of using brake parts cleaner. It is an old 8 day clock.
Thanks

Do not use any chemicals to clean or lube this clock. Most clocks have a key that you can rotate the mechanism, rotate and "puff" powdered graphite onto all moving parts.Graphite is what locks and other intircate workings are lubed with,(brass, bronze and soft metal workings.) You can find it at most hardware stores or locksmiths shops, it usually comes in a "puffer" bottle.Graphite is somewhat messy so remember, less is more. It is dry so it will not attract dust and dirt like liquid lubricants.

Romba rooster cuckoo clock – 1235

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

This charming scene of a rooster and his hen is entirely hand carved from solid Linden wood. When the clock strikes the hour or half-hour the door opens, a cuckoo appears and calls along with the clock’s gong strike.

This clock is hand made in the Black Forest in Germany. The mechanical brass movement is driven by two weights and time escapes with the tick of a traditional pendulum. The cuckoo call sound is made by two wooden whistles with bellows inside the clock case.

Even the packaging has old-world charm, as only paper is used. The factory packing is all made with renewable materials. This clock makes a great gift for the young and old alike. Perfect for a pastoral decor!

Is there a site that I can get directions on how to work a cuckoo clock?

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

I have a cuckoo clock that I am not sure how to work it. It was working then the left weight ran out of chain and the other two stayed there and clock stopped. Where can I get some kind of directions?

Try to pull the chain all the way ,,the chains work at different levels…if not I would ask or take it too a clock maker and ask them if they knew anyone that would be able to fix it,,if you don’t know a clockmaker ask a jewler maybe,…I have an old cockoo clock also and had it fixed once and it was great but they moved away ,,,so I also have to have it fixed again,,thanks for reminding me….GOOD LUCK!

Chimney Sweep Cuckoo Clock

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

This is a charming piece from Rombach und Haas. It features an animated chimneysweep and is an affordable clock with all the charm of a Black Forest cottage.

The clock has wooden hands, bird, and a wooden dial. It has several laser-cut features and incredible wood carvings with exquisite detail.

The clock comes packaged in genuine recycled or renewable materials, each clock made and packaged BY HAND by Black Forest craftsmen the same way they have been for hundreds of years. The cuckoo bird, hands, and numbers are all made of solid wood. The bird and dancers move along with the mechanically produced cuckoo call. The sound of the bird is produced by real wooden whistles and the music box movement is hand made in Switzerland . Why does an 8-day cuckoo clock needs to be wound every other day?

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Usually, an 8-day cuckoo clock needs winding every week or so. How come mine has to be wound every two days? Is this a defect?
Bought the cuckoo in Switzerland. Thought I was scammed by some Chinese owner. But the rest of the clock works alright except having to wind an 8-day cuckoo every 2-3 days. Can someone tell me what’s wrong with my cuckoo clock?
It’s a two yrs old cuckoo.

weight chains aren’t long enough,

How do I fix a cuckoo clock that stops after about 5 hours of use?

Monday, March 29th, 2010

I have an 8 day cuckoo clock and it has been working fine for quite some time (it was passed down to me, it is know around 40 years old). I have recently noticed that after I wind it and start it again it will stop just a few hours after I wound it. I know it didn’t pull the weights too high because there are rings stopping that. Is this anything I can fix myself?

Probably not – you most likely have a damaged or dirty weight and that is a job for a pro. Take it to a clock shop and get a quote then if possible have it fixed and get a list of maintenance tips to keep it running. Good Luck!
