I have an anniversary clock that my father gave me about 25 years ago. The balls do not spin anymore. Help!?

The clock is a Benchmark clock, with a wooden roof and is 6 or 8 sided with white designs on the glass. My paster tried to fix it, but said that he had never seen anything like it. It doen’t have a place for a battery to power the balls. The clock keeps good time, but without the spinning it is not as pretty. My dad is in the last stages of Alzheimer’s and I would like to get the clock fixed to remember the better days when he loved me and knew who I was.

What can I get/do for my husband for our 1 year anniversary?

I know that the traditional gift is paper and the modern is clocks.

He is 22 years old and is a custom car/truck enthusiast.

I really need some ideas. Our anniversary is next month. So far we do not have a budget on how much we are spending on each other.

How about the gift of your time doing something he likes to do? I would see if there is any sort of custom car/truck show coming up and get tickets to that and spend the day showing him how much you love him by sharing his interests with him. I would also get him a more personal gift that means something to the two of you that he will have to remember your first anniversary by…something that will last, especially if he is a sentimental or nostalgic type of guy. You could take the ‘paper’ theme and make a small scrapbook of your first year together or something like that.
